ASC provides weekly support groups, recreational activities, and educational workshops on a walk-in basis for any person living with or affected by HIV/AIDS. To facilitate participation, we provide MetroCards, meals, and onsite child care. Beyond its drop-in groups, ASC offers specialized women’s support groups and groups for persons coping with the dual challenges of HIV disease and addiction. Regular activities such as ASC’s “Movie of the Week” event, bingo games, and life-affirming seasonal celebrations all contribute to an inviting, familial atmosphere for clients who consider ASC their “home away from home.”
