The Phil Zwickler Memorial Poetry Page celebrates the creative spirit in us all by showcasing a poem by a participant in the AIDS Service Center NYC Creative Writing Workshop, which began in 2000. Every other month, a poem by a different ASC poet will appear here.

This page is named in honor of Phil Zwickler, a journalist, filmmaker, poet, and gay activist who produced a prolific body of work in the few short years before his death from AIDS in 1991.
